A need to see the big picture is what Harapnuik (2020) references to be successful in the DLL program. Harapnuik (2020) points to the learning environment that has been created for participants to be successful. The learning environment has been constructed with the COVA model in mind that gives participants or learners in the program choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning opportunities. The creation of a student centered significant learning environment or CSLE coupled with the COVA model provides learners in the DLL the opportunities to make significant connections through their learning in this program. These meaningful connections showcase the learning that a student is experiencing. Through reflection and completion of student chosen projects learners are able to reflect on their learning connections and showcase their learning. This is how I see success in the DLL program. By going through this program learners will become instructors that can create significant learning environments for their students and utilize the COVA model to help their students become successful leaders of tomorrow.
